The wine industry’s low margins and commodity market dynamics have made it the toughest sector of drinks for packaging innovation.
To help overcome this inertia, Drink Works developed a range of proactive innovation concepts and in September 2008 were commissioned by Constellation Europe to develop the next generation of bag-in-box.
Launched in the UK, Sweden and Denmark little over a year later, FreshCase combines commercially proven bag-in-box technology with premium materials and finishes from other drinks sectors. The result is a new packaging format that delivers aesthetic appeal, convenience and premium values, adding value for consumers, retailers and brand owners alike.
